Wrightson Frankenstein Bust by Blairsculpture Wrightson Frankenstein Bust by Blairsculpture
Here's a couple of pics of the first casting painted by myself. I ordered a nameplate that will go with the kit . It will be "Frankenstein" in Old English font. The bust is 12" tall and 6" wide at the shoulders. The kit will be available as soon as I recieve the nameplate and cast some up for each kit.

It is amazing the amount of detail in this sculpture, I can't imagine how long this could have taken you.
But the ending result is just fantastic, congratulations on the completely deserved DD!

Oh my god I've been wanting to pick up a copy of Wrightson's frankenstein for so long now! I fell in love with his illustrations at first sight and I must say you absolutely nailed it here, good job and a well deserved DD!

Very awesome! I dig your work. Of course, Frankenstein was the name of the creator not his creation. My English teacher in high school almost had me expelled because I put that bitch in her place by correcting her and then proving my point. It was worth it! Keep up the awesome work!

It is cast in resin. It;s the paint up that gives it a bronze kind of look.

That's awesome! What kind of paint did you use to get that bronze-y look?

I'm actually on a mission to make my works look like bronze. lol

I used Freak Flex paints, purples, yellow ochres and different shades of green. Then a dark brown wash over the piece.

Looks really good. Didn't really see this as a bronze though. Something more in the grey-black and white tones of Bernie's artwork seems more natural, but it's an artist's call. Don't get me wrong, it looks fantastic!

Thanks! Actually it is not bronze, it is painted in different shades of green, tan and purples. The pic does give it a bronze look though.

Reflective photography of a model can really cause color shifts. I tend to shoot things when it's overcast for truer colors. Although my new camera has been pretty accurate with my wip's.
