This is amazing. Can't believe no one has commented! Very nice, color, texture, gloss, detail, nailed it. Less is more with paint, unless it's professionally done imo.

Thank you! I'm still not sure about the colour, maybe he should be more of a terra cotta colour?
:iconsquatch89:
Yea. That wouldn't be bad either. Maybe a bronze effect? GL either way!

This is a great sculpt. Good take on the character. Still has that Batman the cartoon feel, but with a little more realism. This is great. Keep the colors. I think it really makes it your own interpretation. If you do the terra-cotta color, it will look too much like the animated version.

Cheers!!

Hi Alfred,

Thank you very much , I always try to put my own original spin on some of the comic characters. It's what I enjoy most having the freedom to do something different with a character that has been sculpted to death! I will be keeping the colours.I really like your work very nice, do you sculpt in wax or super sculpey? The pieces on your site look like they are in wax or castilene.Take care.

Robert

Hey Robert, Thanks for the kind words. I sculpt in all kinds of materials. The new stuff you see on the site (Captain Hammer and Dr. Horrible) was sculpted first in Super Sculpey and then molded and cast in wax. The pictures you see are actually the color photos of the wax (it's a grey wax from Silpak). The Catwoman is all Super Sculpey, but I'm probably going to mold her and cast her in wax to clean her up even more. I also sculpt in Chavant, Roma Plastilina, water clay, plaster and on the rare occasion I'll even sculpt directly in a foundry wax (used for bronze casting).

Cheers!!!

Alfred
